Spreading Our Wings Since 1935

Founded in 1935, the LEA HIN Group began as a humble sole proprietorship dealing in kerosene stoves, pressure lanterns, pressure oil tanks, and burners. From these modest beginnings, the foundation of reliability and thoughtful engineering was established—values that continue to define the company today.

In response to growing market demand, the Kuala Lumpur branch was established in 1955, marking an important milestone in the Group’s regional expansion. Over the years, LEA HIN steadily evolved from trading into manufacturing, successfully expanding its product range to include kerosene-fueled appliances, LPG gas cookers, and cast iron burners.

The Group’s trademark brand, BUTTERFLY, has since become a well-recognized name both locally and internationally. This recognition is built upon a strong corporate philosophy—delivering superior quality products supported by reliable after-sales service.

Today, LEA HIN KUALA LUMPUR specializes in electrical small appliances and commercial cooking solutions, offering both electrical and gas-fueled equipment. All products are developed in collaboration with leading overseas manufacturers that specialize in advanced technologies, ensuring dependable performance and quality customers can trust.

With headquarters in Singapore, the LEA HIN Group has grown into a regional presence, encompassing offices and factories across Hong Kong, China, Malaysia, Indonesia, Cambodia, Myanmar, and Vietnam.

From its origins in kerosene lamps and stoves to a comprehensive range of modern home and commercial appliances—including rice cookers, ovens, toasters, and built-in appliances—BUTTERFLY continues to bridge its founding philosophy of steadfast quality with contemporary needs.

Today, BUTTERFLY represents more than an appliance brand—it stands as a legacy of trust, adaptability, and care. Guided by experienced and dedicated professionals, the Group remains committed to serving customers’ needs while upholding the time-honored values that have shaped its journey since 1935.
